If you are admitted into the hospital for an injury or illness, your hospital indemnity plan will make cash payments directly to you. Since, the payments are made to you, you get to decide where you want to use your money.
You may use the funds to pay for those costs not coverd by your health insurance, such as deductibles, copays and coinsurance.
